Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Monday, January 15, 2024
  • 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM: morning session
  • 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM: afternoon session

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’

As we reflect on the words of Dr. King, we are reminded of the profound impact we can make when we come together in service and unity.

Everyone is invited to the tenth annual MLK Jr. Day of Service, an event that embodies the spirit of inclusivity and togetherness. The event is proudly hosted by Glen Mar Church, in partnership with Ames Memorial UMC and St. John Baptist Church, and it is open to all.

Please register for either the morning session (8:30 AM to 12:30 PM) or the afternoon session (12:30 to 4:30 PM) or an offsite activity. These activities are designed to bring us closer to our community, providing opportunities for grandparents, parents, young adults, and children to demonstrate their love and support for our neighbors. Service hours can be earned during this event. Let us remember Dr. King’s dream of a blessed community where all are welcome, and all are loved.
